New Users and Zero/Low Feedback Buyers
Well, we all have to start somewhere, don't we?
It's easy to get carried away in the thrill of the auction and overbid on a desirable item.
Apparently, it's also easy to fail to notice that the item is not located in your country, is not listed in your native currency and the Seller won't take a personal cheque even when the information is clearly stated. The next day you're suffering "Buyer's Remorse" and decide that you don't want the item after all. So, you just ignore the emails and pretend you don't exist for a while - good plan! Well, maybe not as you just annoyed the Seller and all the other folk who bid on the item by wasting their time (and the Seller's money as they also lose their listing fee). You may also collect an Unpaid Item Strike on your Buyer’s Account from eBay as part of the Unpaid Item Process.
Don't let this happen to you! It's easy to avoid if you just read the auction text properly (what's so hard about that?) paying particular attention to the location, currency and payment terms after you've looked at the item details.
Example: my auctions state:
"Item location: Horsham, West Sussex, United Kingdom""Auction currency is Pounds Sterling ( £ )" "Payment options: PayPal, Postal Order or Banker's Draft, Personal cheque"
(example is for UK buyers - PayPal only for International buyers)Right now my auctions are open to all comers - I do not discriminate against anyone regardless of his or her feedback and experience. I'd like to keep it that way, so please take a bit of time to read all the information - it's there for your benefit as well as mine.
Good luck!
